Brick with vertical voids (efficient brick) to be used for exterior structural walls with a thickness of 30 cm and interior non-structural walls with a thickness of 15 cm. They can also be used for masonry infill panels in framed structures. They are to be installed in conjunction with a minimum M5 cement-sand mortar. The masonry may or may not be protected against the action of water by plastering.
