The field of use of the product is in building construction, for load-bearing and/or non-load-bearing applications in all forms of walls, including single and double walled masonry, partition walls, retaining and foundation walls and walls used in basement (with waterproofing in accordance with CR6/2013), in accordance with SR EN 771-1:2011:
- Structural walls in areas with seismic acceleration ≤ 0.15g;
- walls framed in frames;
- ordinary masonry: for interior and exterior walls;
- Protected masonry: masonry for exterior walls that can be protected by a layer of plaster or metal coating;
- plastering masonry: used for interior or exterior walls;
- thermal insulation masonry: masonry consisting of elements with many perforations.

The dimensions of the masonry elements should be taken into account in the design, to prevent too many cuts, so that a course is made up only of whole bricks and the height of the building is a multiple of the height of the element plus the mortar.
To reach the desired elevation, where a distance less than the height of the brick is required, the same type of brick cut to the required height shall be used. No other type of brick is recommended.

When the products are installed in reinforced concrete frames, the latter must be insulated with a material of the same type as the masonry to avoid the formation of a thermal bridging, and a wire or fibreglass mesh must be applied to avoid cracks.
The use of the product shall be in accordance with the scope of the product standard.

Instructions for use
For masonry, use mortar (type G), prepared on site or industrially prepared (semi-industrially prepared).
The thickness of the masonry joints should be at least 12 mm. The direction of the voids shall be vertical.

Load-bearing masonry = that masonry which ensures the structural strength of the house.
Protected masonry = masonry that is protected against water penetration.
